Afton Township Clerk

The township clerk is the clerk for the township board, keeper of the township’s records, clerk of all town meetings, and the ex officio clerk for the highway commissioner. Additionally, the responsibility of township elections falls to the township clerk.

All positions—supervisor, highway commissioner, clerk, trustee (4 positions), and assessor—are elected to four-year terms during the off-year spring/primary election.  The current officials were elected in March of 2021 and will be in office through May of 2025.  The election cycle begins late summer/early fall of 2024.  For information and documents required to run for election to a township office, check back to this page spring of 2024.
