GENERAL ASSISTANCE

General Assistance is administered to families or individuals in need who meet the financial and non-financial requirements.  General Assistance provides financial support to those who are qualified and experiencing hardship. We have partnered with DeKalb Township to process the applications for General Assistance.  Applications for General Assistance are available by contacting DeKalb Township at 815-758-8282 or online at www.dekalbtownship.org/low-income-relief

DEKALB COUNTY NURSING HOME

There is a two-year residency requirement that must be met.  Contact the Afton Township supervisor’s office at 815-756-4255 with questions or to request an application.
